Coaching Training Series: 
Coaching and Its Application in Different Areas/ Service Natures

Rationale:

Coaching is applicable in every area and every aspect of life, including individuals, social services, organizations, and business corporations. As coaching is thought-provoking and creative, it inspires individuals/ staff/ teams to maximize their personal and professional potential, thereby attaining the personal best or service quality. 

Course Structure:

This training series includes 2 parts – core training and advanced streams.  
 

Part 1 Core Training

One-day basic training on coaching concepts and general practice.

It aims to equip participants with greater capacities and more effective leadership by using a coaching approach and skills tailored for various social service settings and targeted groups, enabling them to facilitate others to unlock/ maximize their potential, develop their capabilities, make sense of their situations, and come to informed decisions about their next steps. 

*This is a prerequisite for

attending Part II training

Introduction to Coaching: Fundamentals and Essential Skills

Targets:

Social Workers, Counsellors, Team Leaders, Middle Managers, Supervisors, Human Resources Professionals, anyone involved in supervision and management processes, and other professionals engaged in working with youth/ parents.

Stream A

Certificate on Use of Coaching

in Supervision and Management

It aims to empower supervisors and managers with coaching techniques to enhance their supervisory skills, foster accountability, and boost employee engagement. Participants will learn to motivate performance, identify strengths and development opportunities, and adapt to diverse team dynamics.

The course nurtures a coaching mindset and cultivates a collaborative environment, ultimately leveraging coaching as a transformative tool for individual and team development, contributing to overall organizational success. 

 

Three Workshops (A1, A2, A3) are specifically designed to meet the needs of supervisors, middle managers, team leaders, and human resources professionals. 


Participants who have completed Part I and Part II (Stream A) will receive a Certificate on Use of Coaching in Supervision and Management.

It aims to equip frontline professionals with essential coaching skills to support youth and empower parents in guiding their children through developmental challenges. Participants will learn to navigate contemporary issues, foster collaborative relationships, and facilitate positive youth development and career guidance, ultimately enhancing professionals’ adaptability in addressing evolving youth and family dynamics.  


Participants who have completed Part I and Part II (Stream B) will receive a Certificate on Use of Coaching for Working with Youth and Parents.

  1. This coaching training series is designed to help participants apply coaching-informed methods and skills in their professional roles and social service settings.  

  2. It would only enable participants to provide general coaching but would not qualify them as certified coaches. 

  3. This training series is provided by Professional Team Members from the “Transforming Space Counseling & Development”.
